Ahead of Tuesday's elections, WBUR's Morning Edition traveled to the bellwether town of Plymouth. The town has voted for the winner in the last three statewide elections — the governor's races in 2002 and 2006, and January's special election for the U.S. Senate seat.

Plymouth is also in the middle of the state's 10th congressional district. The election in the 10th has featured a hotly contested campaign between Democrat Bill Keating and Republican Jeff Perry. Rep. William Delahunt is retiring, and after the district voted for Republican Sen. Scott Brown in January's special senatorial election, many analysts think Republicans have a chance to win the 10th.

While broadcasting live from Plymouth, WBUR's Bob Oakes spoke with both candidates, Perry and Keating. Perry believes that the voters in the 10th are ready to hand the seat to a Republican.

This program aired on November 1, 2010.
