DA: N.C. Teen Found In Milton Likely Fell From Plane

BOSTON — A Massachusetts prosecutor says it’s likely that a North Carolina teen whose mutilated body was found in Milton fell from the sky after stowing away in an airplane wheel well.

Norfolk County District Attorney William Keating says police searched the area Friday in Milton where 16-year-old Delvonte Tisdale was found last month, and they found sneakers and a shirt matching clothing his family said he’d worn.

He said the items were found along a path a Boston-bound plane would have taken while approaching Logan International Airport. Keating said authorities believe Tisdale hid in the airplane.

“It appears more likely than not that Mr. Tisdale was able to breach airport security and hide in the wheel well of the plane without being detected by airport security personnel,” Keating said.

Police found no evidence of foul play but did find trauma consistent with a fall from significant height.

“This was something that sounded quite remote as possibly occurring, that someone could breach security of a commercial jet to secret themselves aboard undetected and to have this happen,” Keating said.

Keating said it causes great concern that the teen could get by airport security. The Transportation Security Administration says it will conduct a review.

Tisdale’s body was found less than 24 hours after he was last seen in Charlotte, N.C.

On D. Tisdale: It is pathetic that the biggest concern with the police was that the kid got past security! Really, is that it? Who was this kid and what in God’s name was he doing in the wheel well of a commercial jet? He has become a dry 30 second bit on the nightly news! I hope someone corrects this kind of sad indifference.

    The Transpiration Security Administration???

Transpiration is defined as the passage of gases through fine tubes because of differences in pressure or temperature, that about sums up this new agency governing access to wheel wells on aircraft

Ah yes, the TSA. Any further proof needed that the whole agency is nothing but very high priced theatre? And not very good theatre! The TSA is like a cheap lock on your front door of your house. It keeps honest people honest, but anyone who really wants to break in will be able to.
Yes, this is a tragedy for this young man’s family. But it’s also an affirmation of the ineptness of the TSA and what a joke the whole agency is.

Are you sure that the cause of death was trauma and not Terminal Stupidity? And someone else is at fault for this person being an idiot?

Wow, that’s really messed up. Was he trying to bring the plane down, or was he trying to show that the security is relaxed?

He was trying neither most likely, he was probably just trying to hitch a free ride.
