BOSTON One of the three men allegedly involved in September’s quadruple murder in Mattapan pleaded not guilty to six charges in a Boston court Tuesday.
Kimani Washington, 35, was indicted on charges including home invasion, armed robbery, carjacking and trafficking cocaine.
Prosecutors say Washington helped lure one of the murder victims out of his home, and that he helped steal a safe, 28 grams of cocaine and a television. They say he drove away in another victim’s rental car and was not on the scene when his accomplices allegedly shot five victims.
Washington, who police call a career criminal, was arrested just hours after the Sept. 28 shooting in which four people — including a toddler — were killed and another man was paralyzed from the shoulders down.
