Health Executives Talk Up Efficiency Of Merger

BOSTON — On Tuesday Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan announced in a joint statement that they have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding “to explore the benefits of merging.”

And on Wednesday, the chief executives of both firms — Eric Schultz from Harvard Pilgrim and Jim Roosevelt from Tufts — joined WBUR’s Morning Edition to talk about their plans to join forces.
