Analysis: Fidelity Searching For Better 'Business Environment'

One of the largest employers in the financial services sector is sending more than 1,000 jobs out of state.

Fidelity Investments is closing its Marlborough operations and transferring 1,100 jobs, some to the company's headquarters in Boston, and most to other states, including New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

Jim Lowell, a former Fidelity employee who's now the longtime editor of the independent Fidelity Watch newsletter, joined WBUR's Morning Edition Wednesday to discuss the news.
