Tip That Led To Bulger Arrest Came From Iceland

BOSTON — WBUR has confirmed that the tip that led the FBI to James “Whitey” Bulger’s apartment Wednesday in Santa Monica, Calif., came from a woman living in Iceland, according to law enforcement sources.

The woman reported seeing the FBI’s public service announcement looking for Bulger’s longtime girlfriend, Catherine Greig, on a CNN report on the investigation of Bulger and Greig.

Could that be someone on Iceland tipped the police about that and has been with this people last 2? years? Maybe and if so good then criminals are going to Jail at last! But all Americans have to tell Police truthfully and Report crime right ahead when happening so the police can work truthfully and get the criminal(s) of the street and also report Child Abuse Now not tomorrow! Same as we tell our kids here on Iceland.

Maybe, but more info is needed bout this obscure source in an obscure land, especially since it came from an obscure PBS outlet that has a pretty good news department, but is not what one would think of as a source for major crime news. As a matter of fact, there are only two male reporters on the station’s roster with generous backgrounds in Boston street reporting. Too many of the others are News Hour sorts of journalists, moot of them women more interested in social commentary and editorial opining than in straight reporting.

Obviously “the woman who living in Iceland” doesn’t exist. The FBI wouldn’t want to give away any clues to who it was. Let’s just hope whoever ratted Bulger out will do better at living a new identity under the Witness Protection Program
