Early Winter Storm Doesn't Deter Occupy Boston

The weather is not stopping protesters of Occupy Boston, who are hunkered down in Dewey Square. Demonstrators say they aren't going anywhere.

At the Occupy Boston camp morale is high, despite the cold, rain and the forecasted snow.

"As one of our chants goes, through rain or snow, this occupation will not go," protester Josh Sager said. "As long as we can stay here, I think we are going to."

Occupy Boston organizers say they're reinforcing tents to make sure they don't blow away Saturday evening and covering what they can with blankets to keep things insulated. A lot of the tents have been lifted above the ground onto pallets so that rain doesn't seep into their dwellings.

"Most people still have smiles on their faces," Kalia Lydgate said. "Everyone's here because they know they need to be."

Mayor Thomas Menino says the city will not provide any special services, such as generators, to Occupy Boston through the winter.
