The donor of the first double-hand transplant in Boston last fall has been identified.

Forty-four-year-old Steven Lloyd of New Hampshire died last October after sudden bleeding in his brain. His wife Jodi told WCVB-TV she decided to donate many of his organs.

"And even though he and I didn't discuss it, I knew that he would be fine about it because he helped everybody. I made the decision to donate the rest of his organs, why not donate his hands?"

Those hands went to Richard Mangino of Revere.
