Mass. Gaming Commission To Host Public Forum

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is hosting its third public forum to examine the community impact expanded gambling could have in the state.

Commission members will be joined by policy experts to discuss regional planning issues and the impact of gambling venues on local communities at a Monday morning public forum in Framingham.

Information from the forum will assist the commission in implementing the law signed by Gov. Deval Patrick in November, which allows for the licensing of three casinos and one slots parlor in the state.

On Thursday the policy and economic experts briefed commission members on the economic development and viability of having four such venues in the state at a public forum in Worcester.

This program aired on June 17, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
