There are more hot days ahead, with temperatures expected to hover in the 80s through early next week. Sounds like great swimming weather. But, if you're heading to the beach, a word of warning: swim well away from seals.

Why? Because they attract sharks.

Already this summer there have been several great white shark sightings off the coast of Cape Cod, near Chatham.

Greg Skomal, the senior shark biologist with the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss what to expect this summer.

This program aired on July 5, 2012.
