Amanda Palmer To Pay Crowd-Sourced Musicians
BOSTON — After a week of harsh criticism and heated debate, Boston indie rocker Amanda Palmer will start paying the musicians she crowd-sourced for her current world tour.
In a blog post Wednesday, Palmer said her management team “tweaked financials”
and said even though horn and string players have “volunteered their time for beer, hugs, merch, free tickets, and love: we’ll now also hand them cash.”
Palmer and her band the Grand Theft Orchestra will perform in Boston in November.
