10/19 Update: The Associated Press has identified the 15-year-old who has been charged as Raymond Concepcion.

Update at 12:30 p.m.: Boston Police have charged the three individuals taken into custody with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The three individuals are: Jaquan Hill, 19, of Brockton; Shakeem Johnson, 22, of Hyde Park; and a 15-year-old from Mattapan, who has not been named because he is a juvenile.

Original post:

One man is dead and three have been taken into custody at gunpoint after a shooting on a Boston street led to a police chase on a busy highway.

The shooting victim was identified by police only as a man in his 20s.

Police say he was shot in the South End on Wednesday, and a Boston officer witnessed a car fleeing the scene.

The car was later spotted by state police stuck in traffic on Interstate 93 southbound.

Troopers boxed in the car and the three men inside were taken into custody at gunpoint. Police did not release their identities.

Police then closed the highway to look for evidence and eventually found a gun. State police said it was unclear Wednesday if the weapon was connected to the shooting.
