Sandy Forces Delay To Last Senate Debate

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Sandy is throwing a wrench into the fourth and final debate of the U.S. Senate campaign in Massachusetts.

The debate was scheduled for Tuesday, but Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown said Monday he was pulling out of the debate, citing the hardship of people in the path of the storm.

His Democratic rival, Elizabeth Warren, also said the debate shouldn’t happen Tuesday, noting that the focus should be on public safety and ensuring people get the help they need.

Brown earlier in the day told reporters that the two candidates will “certainly” have the debate before Election Day, if not Tuesday, then later in the week.

The media consortium organizing the debate, which includes WBUR, is asking the two candidates to reschedule for Thursday.

Brown and Warren had earlier Monday announced they were both postponing their campaigning as the state braced for Hurricane Sandy.

The race is the most expensive in state history.

    Scott is afraid to debate.

Without a doubt, Scott Brown is not my idea of a Senator.  He is a pretty-boy, former nude, male fashion model.  What he knows about American history, law, world issues and more could probably fit on the head of a pin.  He is NOT capable of being a US Senator!  And to top that off, he always votes the party line.  He is not a statesman in any way, shape or manner.

And like RotisD said, he is afraid to debate.  Elizabeth Warren would make mince meat out of him.
