Even a longtime observer of football in Houston is not giving the Texans much of a chance to beat the Patriots on Sunday.

John McClain is a sports columnist for The Houston Chronicle. He's covered the NFL for more than three decades.

Can the Texans win in Foxborough? McClain suggests it might be possible, but perhaps only "if an outbreak of cholera hit the Patriots facility and incapacitated the team."

McCLain says Houston's problems began when they lost to the Pats in December, 42-14.

However, McClain has one statistic that could give the Texans and their fans some hope: Patriots coach Bill Belicheck has lost six playoff games, all to teams he has played in the regular season.

This program aired on January 13, 2013.
