Investigation: RCC Broke Rules On Reporting Sexual Assault Allegations

An independent investigation (PDF) into alleged misconduct at Roxbury Community College confirms that officials did not comply with federal rules to report allegations of sexual assault on campus.

The investigation suggests the school has serious problems with its system for reporting sexual assaults.

"There's little to no mandatory, regular training of sexual harassment or how to respond to complaints by students — for any employee, frankly, let alone any key personnel," said Damian Wilmot, an attorney with Goodwin Procter, the law firm that wrote the report.

The college says (PDF) it's implementing new sexual harassment training programs.

A separate U.S. Department of Education investigation is ongoing.
