Young Boy Struck And Killed On Boston Street

BOSTON — Boston police say a young boy has been struck and killed by a van while walking in the city.

The boy described by police as either 12 or 13 years old was struck outside a fire station while crossing Cambridge Street in the city’s Allston neighborhood at about 6:50 a.m. Thursday.

The victim, suffering from a head injury, was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The death remains under investigation and there was no word if the driver would face charges. The driver did stop.

There is a school nearby, but it was not clear if the boy was headed there.

No names were released.

it’s not the best intersection. But I bet he didn’t wait for a walk sign either

There is no crosswalk, so how can there be a walksign? People always cross at that part of the road, and I think it’s about time they put a crosswalk there. But it’s horrible that something like this happened.

        There’s like 5 crosswalks there
