Boston Police have released this surveillance image of Amy Lord from Tuesday morning.

BOSTON — Boston police say a 24-year-old woman was fatally stabbed after being kidnapped in the South Boston neighborhood and forced to drive to several banks.

The body of Amy Lord, a Wilbraham native and 2011 graduate of Bentley University, was found Tuesday afternoon by a bicyclist at the Stony Brook Reservation, in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

Police said Lord may have been on the way to the gym when she was kidnapped Tuesday morning. Police said her car, which was located later, had been set afire.

Police on Wednesday said they had not made any arrests in connection with Lord’s killing.

On Wednesday evening, police released a list of the five ATMs where Lord’s bank account was accessed early Tuesday morning. They are:

- East Boston Savings Bank at 501 Southampton St.
- Metro Credit Union at 1071 Massachusetts Ave.
- Bank of America at 555 Columbia Rd.
- Sovereign Bank at 585 Columbia Rd.
- Citizen’s Bank at 217 Adams St.

Police also released surveillance images of Lord, asking the public’s assistance with the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at 617-343-4470. Anonymous calls may also be made to 1-800-494-TIPS, or by texting the word “tip” to “CRIME” (27463).

A 28-year-old man identified as Edwin Alemany, of Boston, was arrested in connection with an attack on another woman in South Boston early Wednesday morning. The victim of that attack was stabbed, but survived.

See the news moron? They aren’t looking or a blond haired blue eyed kid from Harvard.

Amazing my comment was deleted. Thanks Rachel.

Again – have you heard the news reports – they are looking for a black man, not a blonde haired blue eyed kid from Harvard.

what’s odd about that map is they left out the guy the police shot to death.
I would like to see this map expanded to the whole state and then have it superimposed over the map of towns that do and don’t issue pistol permits

There’s obviously a lot we don’t know about the kidnapping and murder at this point, but the picture – with her in athletic clothes and sneakers – is just tragic. I wonder why she didn’t run.

She may have known the person who had abducted her. Or, worse, there was a person with whom she was acquainted who was also in the vehicle, and also was a conspirator, but told the victim he or she was also abducted.
