Boston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In Mattapan

BOSTON — Boston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male victim in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood.

The department reports that officers responded to 196 Itasca St. at 11:36 p.m. Thursday night and found outside a male victim, “possibly” in his 20s, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is the city’s 11th homicide of the year.

No arrests have been made.
