Speaker DeLeo: Probation Verdict Confirms I Wasn't Involved In Any Impropriety

Now that there's a verdict in the corruption trial centered around the Massachusetts Probation Department, a powerful political figure who was mentioned frequently by prosecutors during the case is speaking out about the allegations made against him.

Jurors convicted former Probation Commissioner John O'Brien and two deputies of racketeering conspiracy and other charges, but the jury concluded that the government did not prove that the defendants had bribed public officials. One of those officials is Massachusetts House Speaker Robert DeLeo.
