BOSTON — A fine looking day is on the way with plenty of sunshine and temperatures about what you would expect heading into the final pat of August. We are starting to dry out again and I’d like to see some more rain, but it’s not in the cards. Instead we have high pressure remaining in control for the next several days.
Looking at the next several days the warmest days are today and tomorrow. On Thursday cooler air will bring a taste of early fall to the region. It won’t be super cool, but temperatures are going to be slightly below normal.
Any shower activity that might occur would be over the Berkshires or back through parts of New York. This might change as we head through the weekend. There is going to be weak cold front passing through later this weekend and that might bring a shower. More importantly there will be an area of rain off the coast sometime Sunday or Monday. Presently, I’ll go with dry weather through the weekend, but I’ll suggest you keep abreast of latest forecasts as the details could change later this week. Sunday is still five days away and the forecast can change a lot.
Tuesday: Sunny with a high in the upper 70s (cooler at the coast).
Tuesday night: Clear with some patchy fog by dawn.
Wednesday: Lots of sunshine and warmer with a high near 80.
Thursday: Partly sunny and somewhat cooler. Highs in the mid 70s (a bit warmer inland).
Friday: A blend of clouds and sunshine. Highs of 73 to 76.
Saturday: Partly sunny with a high in the lower 70s.
