The new director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is close to meeting his goal of visiting all FBI field offices in his first year in office.

Director James Comey made visit number 53 — a stop in Boston — on Tuesday.

It was a chance for Comey to share his views on terrorism. But as WBUR's Bruce Gellerman reports, discussion of the Boston Marathon bombing investigation was pretty much off limits.
