More than two years after two bombs went off at the 2013 Boston Marathon finish line, killing three people and injuring more than 260 others, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death for the attack. In April, he was convicted of all 30 charges against him. The case began on Jan. 5, 2015 with jury selection and testimony began in the trial on March 4, 2015 in U.S. District Court in Boston. Below is a look at the defendant, various people connected to the admitted bomber and those who took part in his trial.

Correction: An earlier version of this interactive used unclear language that made it seem that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was buried in Massachusetts; he was buried in Virginia.

Update: This interactive has been updated to remove Donald Cabell as a prosecutor in this case. He has since been appointed as a judge and is no longer part of the prosecution team, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
