Retired Federal Judge Discusses Tsarnaev Trial

Tuesday is the first full day of defense testimony in the Boston Marathon bombing trial. On Monday, defense attorneys opened by trying to show Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was not involved in buying the supplies used to build the bombs.

Prosecutors rested their case on Monday with graphic testimony about the victims of the bombings.

Retired federal Judge Nancy Gertner joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss the case.
