World-Renowned MIT Mathematician Seymour Papert Dies At 88

Seymour Papert, a world-renowned mathematician and education theorist who helped found the MIT Media Lab, has died.

Papert was 88 years old. He died Sunday night at his home in Maine, with his wife, Russia scholar Suzanne Massie, by his side.

Massie joined WBUR's All Things Considered to discuss her husband's life and legacy.
