U.S. Surgeon General On Opioid Epidemic

U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams has spent the last few days in the Boston area, telling state leaders he and the Trump administration are serious about combating the opioid epidemic.

At a forum at the BU School of Public Health on Thursday night, he said he's considering expanding Medicaid to look at services available to people in recovery.

WBUR's Deborah Becker spoke to him for a segment on Morning Edition.
