EU's Top Diplomat: Egypt's Morsi Doing 'Well'

European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton met with deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi on Monday — the first contact the leader has had with the outside world since being overthrown.

Ashton said Morsi is doing "well."

Morsi's supporters have held street demonstrations despite National Defense Council warnings that it would take action against any demonstrators who went beyond peaceful protests.
