We’re going to take you on a ride on what's become the worst train in america. We’re talking about Amtrak's famed "Empire Builder."

It’s been around since the early 20th century — taking passengers from Chicago, over the Rocky Mountains and into Seattle and Portland.

But the sudden rise in freight traffic in and out of North Dakota's oil fields has made the Empire Builder the country's most unreliable train.

From the Here & Now Contributors Network, Jessica Robinson of the Northwest News Network takes us to the waiting area at one of the Empire Builder's major stops.
