Every day, people donate old books to thrift shops or sell them for a quarter each at yard sales. But some of those castoffs are worth much more.

Used books are a thriving business on Amazon and the going rate for books at auction rose 7 percent last year. From WPLN in Nashville, Nina Cardona reports on the hunt for first editions in a sea of damaged romances.
