Photographer and sailor Alexandra de Steiguer has spent the last 19 years as winter caretaker of Star Island, a summer retreat off the coast of New Hampshire and Maine.

Here & Now's Meghna Chakrabarti talks with de Steiguer about the challenges of spending the entire winter alone on a deserted island, and how it helps her as an artist.
