New Book Explores Structure Of ISIS, Other Insurgencies
ResumeSince the end of World War II, there have been nearly 200 insurgencies around the world.
The main insurgency right now is being conducted by ISIS in Iraq and Syria. But despite the number, we really don't know that much about how insurgencies are conducted, or about their strategies, tactics or political structure.
A new book by Seth Jones (@SethGJones), director of RAND's International Security and Defense Policy Center, takes a deep look at insurgencies. Jones joins Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd to talk about "Waging Insurgent Warfare: Lessons from the Vietcong to the Islamic State."
