Protests are planned across Caracas on Thursday, nearly a week after a controversial decision by Venezuela's Supreme Court that seized power from the country's legislature. The court has since suppressed parts of that ruling, but political unrest continues.

The supreme court is loyal to Leftist President Nicolás Maduro, while the National Assembly is controlled by opposition parties. Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson speaks with Carlos Vecchio (@carlosvecchio), national political coordinator of Voluntad Popular, a Venezuelan opposition party.

This segment aired on April 6, 2017.
