Battle Of The Bookings: Hotels Take Aim At Online Travel Agencies

Hotel chains are trying to reduce their reliance on third-party reservation websites like Priceline and Expedia, which typically take a cut of each booking. But a recent survey shows most travelers under 35 prefer online search engines to hotel sites despite efforts by hotel chains to expand rewards programs.
