Energy Secretary Rick Perry is preparing a draft order that would require utilities to buy some electricity supply from coal-fired or nuclear power plants.

Here & Now's Lisa Mullins talks with Houston Chronicle columnist Chris Tomlinson (@cltomlinson), who says the move is intended to boost coal jobs but also will likely increase costs for consumers.

This segment aired on July 7, 2017.
