President Trump has pushed for tariffs on foreign-made aluminum and steel, even as many in his own party oppose trade restrictions. Meanwhile, the White House had another chaotic week, as senior staffers fought over policy and lost security clearances, or simply left the administration.

Here & Now's Robin Young speaks with NPR's Ron Elving (@NPRrelving) on the latest in Washington.

This segment aired on March 5, 2018.
