Cracked Up to Be: Jen Trynin

If you were keeping up with popular music in the mid-1990s, you may remember the music of Jennifer Trynin.

Jen Trynin started out here in Boston and eventually got her big break. Her songs were on the radio, record labels fought over her but then she walked away.

She tells the story in her new book "Everything I'm Cracked Up to Be".

In her early days on the Boston music scene, Jen tried to make it on what she called the "Sunday-through-Wednesday-night folk/acoustic chick band wasteland" when she decided to make a change.
