Romney Searches For a New Turnpike Leader

A nationwide search is now underway to replace Matt Amorello as the head of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.

Governor Mitt Romney says he wants the new head of the turnpike authority to have more management experience.

A law set to go into effect next year will re-work the current system, which critics say gives too much power to the chairman.

Amorello resigned from the turnpike yesterday after weeks of criticism following a fatal accident in the big dig tunnels.
