Outside Influences on the Gubernatorial Race
In the race for governor, Deval Patrick is getting help from his old boss. Former President Bill Clinton was in Boston last night at a fund raiser for the Democratic candidate, who was the top civil rights attorney in the Clinton administration.
Massachusetts Senators Edward Kennedy and John Kerry were also among the high profile democrats attending the event on Patrick's behalf. Such outside influence is a factor in the Democrat's race against his Republican rival, Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey. WBUR's Fred Thys has more on the story.
