MIT Energy Research Council Report
By Delores Handy-Brown
Listen to story (Real Audio)
Cambridge, MA - May 03, 2006 - Every day, for everyone the energy crunch hits home. Whether it's through rising prices at the petrol pump or warnings of summer blackouts; whether it's because of global concerns over global warming and the safety of energy systems.
Such issues, big and small, are on the table at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
At a forum Wednesday, the school's Energy Research Council released its recommendations for how MIT can, as its report says, "take on the challenge."
The institute's president Susan Hockfield formed the council and has final say over which ideas become reality at MIT.
