In Massachusetts, most routine and complicated procedures vary from one hospital to the next by thousands -- in some cases tens of thousands -- of dollars. Often, patients with health insurance don't compare costs or don't even know that there are differences. Case in point: childbirth. Martha Bebinger takes a look at what's driving the divergent costs in Boston hospitals.
