Opera In the Pub
Opera Boston opens its production of 'The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny' tonight. The Weill/Brecht opera is staged in a concert hall, as usual, but the company recently took a sampler of the show's songs on the road to some unconventional places.
The venue change is part of a new marketing strategy to attract younger audiences to full-scale operas. WBUR's Andrea Shea checks out Opera Boston's foray into a rock club.
