Mental Health on Campus

University officials across the country are grappling with how to make their campuses safer, and how to handle students' mental health issues.

Dr. Richard Kadison is the chief of mental health services at Harvard University, and author of the book, "College of the Overwhelmed: The Campus Mental Health Crisis and What to Do About it."

WBUR's Deb Becker discusses the Virginia Tech shootings with Kadison, and asks why few took action when the killer exhibited signs of distress.

This program aired on April 20, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
