Spencer Water OK to Drink

State environmental officials say it's safe once again to drink and use the water in the town of Spencer.

The "boil water" advisory was lifted Friday afternoon, three days after the water was deemed unsafe.

An excess amount of lye was added to the water at the town's water treatment plant.

Nearly 100 people were treated for minor burns and rashes after being exposed to the water Tuesday morning.
