Boston Schools Face 900 Job Cuts, Closures
The Boston Public Schools are considering 900 job cuts — 400 of them teaching jobs — school closures and fewer bus routes, as a way to close a more than $100 million budget gap next year.
Superintendent Carol Johnson outlined a budget plan before the school committee last night.
