Police Shooting Victim Was At Roslindale Killing

Boston police say the man who was fatally shot by an officer in the South End this week was at the scene of an unsolved murder in Roslindale 10 days ago.

Police Commissioner Ed Davis said Wednesday that investigators are looking into the possible connection between the two men.

"We operate under the proven fact that a very small number of people are responsible for a large number of crimes that occur in the city of Boston, and we oftentimes find links to several different incidents," Davis said.

Police say the man was shot Tuesday night after refusing to drop a gun he pointed at two officers following a traffic stop and foot chase.

Friends and family identify the man as 26-year-old Burrell White-Ramsay.

Davis says he'll release more details after talking to the two officers.
