Man Who Photographed John Kerry's Home Faces New Charge

A Russian man seen taking photographs of Secretary of State John Kerry's Boston home last year has pleaded not guilty to state child pornography charges.

Authorities say 30-year-old Vladimir Romanov was arrested Wednesday on six counts of child pornography possession.

Federal agents began investigating Romanov after he was arrested in July outside Kerry's home.

Police say Romanov parked in a no-parking zone and began taking photographs. Police say they found a pellet gun and an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. He was charged with public drinking.

State prosecutors say federal agents later searched computers in Romanov's Boston home and found sexually explicit images of children.

Romanov was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail after being arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court. His attorney, Joseph Griffin, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
