Forecast: Some Evening Storms, But Mostly Sunny Weekend

Temperatures will remain above normal for the next several days. Humidity levels will be up today but decrease again by Sunday. Even with a couple of rain chances, the upcoming weekend doesn’t look too bad.

An increasing southerly flow of air will bring the higher dew points back to the region today. But as a weak front crosses this evening, a few towns will get a shower or thunderstorm.

The weekend still looks interesting as the hot, humid air will be over us Saturday but a rather strong system will dive out of Canada and cause showers and thundershowers prior to midnight Saturday night.

Sunshine and less humid conditions for Sunday and Monday, but another front Monday night will again bring much needed shower activity to the area.

Today: Mostly sunny, moderately humid. Highs in the low 90s.

Tonight: An evening shower or thunderstorm in a few towns, then mostly clear. Lows: 68-73.

Saturday: Morning sunshine then increasing afternoon clouds. Highs in the low 90s.

Saturday night: Chance for showers and thundershowers between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. then mostly cloudy. Lows: 66-70.

Sunday: Early clouds, then becoming sunny and less humid. Highs in the mid-80s.

Monday: Partly sunny. Showers at night. Highs 85-90.
