Some people take transit drivers for granted — but not on Saturday.

Saturday is National Transit Driver Appreciation Day.

The bus drivers and the train operators on the MBTA perform a delicate balancing act every day, maneuvering through traffic while trying to help passengers.

The MBTA has launched a poster campaign featuring photos of some of the folks who keep the T running and a little bit of what makes them tick.

One of the faces you'll get to know on the posters is Bob Littles, who has been a T bus driver for the past 17 years.

Littles joined WBUR's Weekend Edition Saturday.

This segment aired on March 18, 2017.
