Framingham Cop Injured In Head-On Crash

A Massachusetts police chief says one of his officers was seriously hurt in an early morning head-on crash while responding to reports of an out-of-control house party.

Framingham Chief Kenneth Ferguson says the officer was working a detail just after midnight Friday when he heard radio reports of the house party.

Ferguson says the officer responded in his personal pickup truck and collided head-on with a sedan that had crossed into his lane. It appears the car was leaving the party site.

The officer and the car's driver were flown to hospitals for treatment although Ferguson says it appears both will survive.

No names were released and the crash remains under investigation.

One person was arrested in connection with house party.
