Judge Denies Bid To Save Worcester Church From Demolition
A historic church in Worcester is one step closer to being demolished after a judge denied a bid to save it.
The Save Notre Dame Alliance asked a judge to stop the destruction of the Notre Dame des Canadiens Church, claiming knocking it down would violate a state law that requires an environmental review, according to MassLive.com and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
The judge yesterday ruled that all necessary reviews had been completed and the demolition could go on.
The group has not yet said whether it will appeal the ruling.
