Man Who Raped Women In Boston, Cambridge Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison
A man who pleaded guilty to a series of rapes in the Boston area has been sentenced to 18 to 22 years in prison.
A judge sentenced 49-year-old Alejandro Done Wednesday for assaults on three women in 2006, 2007 and 2010.
Prosecutors say police linked Done to the crimes in Boston after he was arrested for assaulting a woman in Cambridge who had mistaken him for an Uber driver.
Done is currently serving a 10 to 12-year sentence for the Cambridge assault. His new prison sentence will start once that sentence is complete.
Done's attorney tells The Boston Globe he accepts the 22-year sentence, but it is a "sharp, upward departure" from sentencing guidelines.
